Terms of Use

Last updated: 20 September 2026

By using compassandtrails.com you agree to use the site as a planning aid, not as a substitute for official park, road, or weather information. Content is provided “as is.”

You may not scrape the site to republish it as your own guide, misrepresent Compass & Trails as a booking agent, or use the contact address for spam.

Trails, roads, and parks can injure or kill. You are responsible for your decisions, equipment, and compliance with the law, and we are not responsible for content or services supplied by third-party advertising vendors. See the disclaimer.

Advertising and third-party services

This site is supported by display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. Ad selection is controlled by those vendors, not by Compass & Trails. The appearance of an ad on a page is not an endorsement of the advertiser, its products, or its claims. See the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy for how advertising cookies are used and how to opt out.

Editorial independence

Advertising is not sold, curated, or placed by us, and advertisers have no involvement in what we write. We do not accept sponsored posts or paid links; see the editorial policy.
